Apartments Klicperka

           Klicperka Apartments offer accommodation in a beautiful renovated villa, which was built in 1928 in a quiet part of Liberec, Klicperova Street. Unique and one of the most remarkable parts in Liberec, the so-called Liebig's Town, which was built for employees of the textile factory Johan Liebieg & Co., later Textilana. The company started the construction before the First World War. The company abandoned its intention to build large apartment buildings and opted for smaller family houses.
           It was built in several stages. The earliest phase from the second half of the 19th century (the former workers' house in Svatoplukova Street together with the adjacent neo-Romanesque buildings of the Vincentino and the Church of St. Vincent of Paoli) was followed in 1907 - 1910 by the Art Nouveau phase, when four houses on the north side of Gollova Street and a nursery in Mlýnská Street were built based on designs of the Liberec architect Ernst Schäfer. The third and most important stage of the construction, which gave the town its unique appearance, took place between 1911 and 1914 following the plans of Jakob Schmeissner, who is also the author of the overall concept of the town. Several villas for high-ranking employees of the company with a higher standard of living were built in Klicperova Street based on designs of Oskar Rössler.
